XIX April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development

CLMS members participated in XIX April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development which was held 10-13 April in NRU HSE in Moscow.

Director of CLMS Vladimir Gimpelson was the chairman of the session B-03/2 (Invited Paper by Roberta Gatti (The World Bank) "Investing in People – Global Experience") and session P-09 (Honorary paper by Hartmut Lehmann (University of Bologna) “Informal employment in post-transition countries”). CLMS Deputy Director Rostislav Kapeliushnikov was the chairman of the session P-05. Income Policy and Wages in the Labor Market.

CLMS Senior Research Fellow Anna Lukyanova co-authored the paper "How substantial is employment discrimination against the disabled in Russia?" presented at the session P-07. In Search of Discrimination in the Russian Labor Market (joint work with A. Demianova). CLMS Senior Research Fellow Alexey Oschepkov presented his paper "The shadow of the family: historical roots of social capital in Europe" at the session Tc-12. Social Capital (joint work with M. Kravtsova).

CLMS Research Fellow Anna Zudina presented her research "The scale, dynamics and factors of disengagement of Russian youth from education and employment in 1995-2016" at the session P-06. Employment and Participation in the Labor Force. CLMS Research Fellow Anna Sharunina ("In-work poverty in Russia") and CLMS Junior Research Fellow Evgenia Chernina ("Actual and perceived income distributions: what shapes the divergence?", joint work with CLMS Director Vladimir Gimpelson) presented their papers at the session P-05. Income Policy and Wages in the Labor Market. Evgenia Chernina was also the chairman of the session P-14. International Migration.
