The First National Research UniversityHigher School of Economics and University of Rome Tor Vergata Workshop in Applied Economics was held at the HSE University on June 13, 2019.
The Workshop have brought together researchers from the two universities to present and discuss research in applied economics at an early stage of the research.

The topics presented at this first Workshop straddle a wide range of research areas in economics, touching on political economy issues of migration, regional convergence in Russia, human capital formation in transition countries, the impact of air pollution on birth outcomes, and the nexus between self-perception in society and actual behavior. The presented research provides important evidence on issues that are of great importance to policy makers enabling them in the final analysis to make evidence-based sound political choices.
