The Second Russian Economic Congress

Staff members from the Centre for Labour Market Studies, Anna Lukiyanova, Anna Sharunina, and Kseniya Abanokova presented their reports at the Second Russian Economic Congress, which took place on February 18 – 22 in Suzdal.

The congress was organized by the New Economic Association, the Economics Section of RAS (Social Sciences Branch), and the Administration of the Vladimir region (Vladimirskaya oblast).

Anna Lukiyanova chaired the session ‘Labour Markets’, and spoke about ‘Salary Inequality: Influence of the Informality (2000 – 2010)’. Anna Sharunina’s report was on the analysis of the cross-sectoral gap in salaries in budget and non-budget sectors. Kseniya Abanokova presented a report analyzing the effect of macroeconomic shocks on changes in household structure in Russia.
