Staff members from the Centre for Labour Market Studies Kseniya Abanokova, Anna Zudina and Evgenia Chernina presented their reports at the 14th April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development, which took place on April 2 – 5 at the HSE in Moscow (session ‘Demography and Labour Markets’; session heads: Vladimir Gimpelson, Director of the Centre, and Mikhail Denisenko, Deputy Director of the Institute of Demography). Rostislav Kapeliushnikov, Deputy Director of the Centre, chaired the session ‘Salary and its Forming Factors’.
Kseniya Abanokova presented a joint project with Michael Lokshin, which analyzed the effect of macroeconomic shocks on changes in household structure in Russia. Anna Zudina’s report was on an analysis of the subjective social status of informal workers in Russia and Evgenia Chernina reported on ‘Migrants in the Russian Labour Market: Portrait and Salary’.
During the session ‘Labour Market Behaviour’, Michael Lokshin and Andrey Ampilogov presented their joint project on ‘Factors to Consider when Choosing a Major at University’.
